The first copies of the book contained an illustration of a wiggly, spindly, ancient-looking magnolia tree, used to show the various types of bee species, like a bee "family tree". The author later mentioned she was mistaken in her initial guide for the tree, and that the family "branches" were inaccurate. I was asked to draw a brand new and updated version for future publications, and I managed to recycle the flowers from the old painting.
I prefer the new one. Which one do you like best?
