British Birds - Song Thrush and Blue Tit

Another two birds for the British birds series...the song thrush singing its little heart out and the tiny, agile blue tit. I was really nervous about getting the song bird's patterned crest right, and then I was nervous about painting the whole of the blue tit because of its many markings and various colours - but now I think the blue tit is my favourite so far. (You can click the images for a bigger view)

Are there any British-native birds you would like to see? Let me know!

I wanted to see how the designs looked next to one another, so here are the four of them together so far:

British Birds - Greenfinch

This is actually the second version of this greenfinch...I wasn't happy with the first one so I started from scratch!

British Birds - Bullfinch

The first to be finished in a series of "British birds" - more to come!
This bullfinch took me about 6 hours to do altogether, which was longer than I anticipated, the rowan berries ate up lots of that time.

Kingfisher (Revisited!)

I went back to my little kingfisher painting from late 2010, adding in a river environment in the hope of making it look more finished. Hope you like it!

Promotional/Business Postcards

I recently designed some postcards to use as a form of self-promotion. I ordered them through Moo.com and they arrived the other day :) They're not totally perfect, (there's a bigger gap than necessary at the bottom on the reverse and some of my logos are a bit out of place,) but I'm quite happy with them.
